Robert Hannibal Ottaviano, Jr., 2015 Aide to the Grand Marshal

Robert Hannibal Ottaviano, Jr. was born in Manhattan at Columbus Hospital the second child and first son in a family 4 boys and 2 girls to Robert and Joan Ottaviano (nee Kearney).  He grew up in East Northport, NY and graduated from Holy Family Diocesan High School in Huntington, NY, and Pace University in Manhattan.

Bob has gone on to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants from which he holds three additional certifications, a Certified Internal Auditor and a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors from which he holds three  four additional certifications,  a Certified Management Accountant and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants from which he holds an additional certification, a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association from which he holds an additional three certifications, a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Bob is very active in the Fire Service and has been a proud member and Past President of the Glenwood Hook & Ladder, Engine & Hose, Co. and has also served as President of the Nassau County Volunteer Firemen’s Association, Trustee of the Volunteer & Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association of Glenwood Landing, President of the North Shore Firemen’s Holy Name Society, President of the Fifth Battalion Softball League, and Secretary of the Southern New York Firemen’s Association.

Currently, Bob is a Director of the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York, 2nd Vice President of the North Shore Firemen’s Association and Sergeant at Arms of the Southern New York Firemen’s Association.  He is also the President of the Rockville Centre Diocesan Union of Holy Name Societies and a Director of the Matinecock Rod and Gun Club.

Bob joined the Mike Moran Division 8 in 2009, received his major degree in 2010, and served as President in 2013 and 2014.

Robert is blessed to be the Father of Robert Hannibal Ottaviano, III a graduate of North Shore High School who is currently attending Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
